Character design

I have a deep love for creating characters—bringing them to life through illustration and expression. I'm constantly trying to translate the ones in my head onto paper. I find endless inspiration in the people around me, often observing their quirks, mannerisms, and personalities to shape my characters. Every day, I come across unique individuals who spark new ideas, fueling my passion to keep designing and imagining more.

Colours In Conflict

For this project, I aimed to explore how colours and forms can visually represent emotions. I focused on designing characters that embody four complex negative emotions: Frustration, Anxiety, Sadness and Guilt.
Each character was developed by experimenting with various colours and forms to reflect the emotional tone and energy of the feeling it represents. My goal was to use visual language to make these emotions more tangible and expressive.

Hybrid Hooligans

For this project, I used three animals/insects — a frog, a chick, and a moth. I wanted to explore the idea of how certain animals can transform when they take on human roles and what kind of personalities they acquire. I merged the forms of the frog, chick, and moth with human features to create hybrid characters that reflect both their original nature and their new, human-like identities.

Yazhini

For this project, I drew inspiration from my own childhood photos—I wanted to bring to life a character who felt just as lively, fierce, and full of fun as the little girl I saw in those memories. I experimented with different facial styles and expressions, and after much exploration, I finally discovered the perfect look for Yazhini.
