Animation

I have a keen interest in rotoscope-style animation, with works ranging from college assignments to personal projects.

Unbecoming

The assignment given in the module Indian Aesthetics - to depict a transition between any rasa (emotive essence) through an abstract film or video.

My film explores the emotional journey from Bhayānaka Rasa (Fear, Horror) to Śānta Rasa (Peace, Transcendence), with Raudra Rasa (Fury, Anger) emerging as a powerful force in between.

The narrative centers on a woman engulfed in fear—haunted by the looming presence of a demon who embodies death itself, the very incarnation of Raudra Rasa. The presence is overwhelming, consuming, she surrenders to the inevitable.

In death, she finds not tragedy, but Śānta Rasa—a release from fear, from weight, from suffering. Her end becomes her transcendence. Through this journey, I aim to explore the idea that death is not always destruction—it can be liberation.

Self-Resilience

This is a personal project that explores the idea of self-resilience—the quiet strength of knowing that, at the end of the day, we are our own source of comfort. No matter where we go, it's our inner fire we rely on to keep going. We are the only ones who can truly console ourselves, warm ourselves, and carry ourselves forward. It’s about finding strength within, especially when no one else is around to offer it.

Let it happen

This is a personal project which is a reflection of my past three years in college. I used textures from around campus as overlays—familiar surfaces that have become part of my everyday. They represent how this place has shaped me. I have mixed feelings about it—both love and frustration—but it’s where I’ve grown. This work is a personal expression of that journey.

DOT logo animation

This assignment involved bringing the college's (DOT School of Design) logo to life. Through this project, I learned the basics of animation, such as squash and stretch, while practicing with the classic bouncing ball exercise.
